This little beauty is sharp-looking, light as a feather, and has a dry, sweet, open tone that I associate with quality vintage instruments, and the volume from such a small guitar will surprise you. This is the perfect guitar for a soloist or singer-songwriter. The tone with a pick is superb, and it responds beautifully to finger picking as well. A master-grade Engelmann spruce top is paired with curly maple back and sides and a one-piece mahogany neck. 1-3/4" nut width, fast modified-v neck. 24.9" scale length. Rosewood binding. Ebony peghead overlay, fretboard, and pyramid bridge. Abalone rosette, and fine-line purfling that follows the fretboard and ties into the rosette. Bone nut and saddle. Black pickguard. Mother-of-pearl position dots, side markers, and "Skipper" logo. Slotted peghead with Golden Age tuning machines. Gloss top and satin back, sides, and neck nitrocellulose lacquer finish. All-hot-hide-glue construction. Tweed hardshell case.
