Custom Dreadnought Guitar #69 191

(click any of the thumbnails for a higher-resolution photo)

This guitar sports a Torrefied red spruce top and magnificent mango back and sides. Walnut binding and beveled edge. Walnut/maple top, back, and side purfling. Ovankol fretboard and bridge. Black position markers and headstock logo. Mango headstocck overlay. Tortoise pickguard, bridge pins, end pin, and strap button. Waverly tuning machines with tortoise knobs. Bone nut and saddle. Mahogany neck.

This guitar has a big, dry vintage sound that is both powerful and pleasing to the ear. Aesthetically, the combination of earthtones with dark trim is nothing short of stunning.

Since I retired a few years ago, I've pretty much done what I wanted to do, when I wanted to do it. Though what I want to do has included building guitars, it has not incorporated a lot of maintenance on the website. As a consequence, I neither took nor posted construction photos for this instrument. All processes have been identical to recent instruments; you can refer to those construction pages for full details of every step of construction.

Thanks for watching this project
