This gold-plated five-string banjo was built for a good friend, a Korean Conflict veteran who flew one of the first jets in our military history. He provided a photograph of the jet, and asked me to replicate it on the banjo's resonator.
Here's what he had to say about the result: "Roger Skipper is undoubtedly the finest craftsman that I have ever known. He made me a banjo with the airplane that I flew during the Korean War on the back, and Roger's inlaid plane looks exactly like the one I flew. The banjo is absolutely the finest I have ever seen or played."
